Our core principle is to collect as little user information as possible to ensure a private and secure experience.
We collect limited information needed to deliver and improve the Service:
You may choose to share your name, email address, sugar intake goals, or other details. Your email is used solely to respond to support requests and is not linked to any public profile.
The app lets you log foods and beverages, record estimated sugar amounts, and optionally set daily targets. If you connect Apple Health or a similar platform, we may import metrics you explicitly authorize (e.g., steps or energy burned). This data is processed only to calculate sugar intake, show progress, and personalise recommendations.
We compile anonymous, aggregated statistics — for example, the total number of logs per region or general server loads — to maintain and optimize the Service. These statistics do not identify individual users.
We collect limited technical data (device type, OS version, language, crash logs, anonymous usage counts) to diagnose bugs and secure the Service. We do not record your IP address, exact timestamps, browsing history, or DNS queries.
The Service does not use cookies explicitly. However, some third-party code (such as Google Analytics for Firebase) may use cookies or similar technologies to operate properly. You can choose to accept or refuse cookies when interacting with those services.
Nutrition and health data remain linked to your account until you delete it in the app or request account deletion. Backup copies are removed within 30 days after deletion. If you uninstall the app without deleting your account, we may retain data for up to 24 months of inactivity before secure removal.
We do not sell or share your personal, nutrition, or health data with marketers or other external parties. We only share data with trusted infrastructure providers (e.g., secure cloud storage) who process it strictly on our behalf under contractual obligations for data security.
The app may use third-party services (e.g., Google Analytics for Firebase) to measure performance, detect crashes, and analyze general usage patterns. Such providers may collect limited pseudonymized data needed for their functionality. Their practices are governed by their own privacy policies.

Certain functions of the app require an active internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data). Tapgeneration is not responsible if the Service does not function properly without an internet connection or due to your data plan limits. You are responsible for any charges from your network provider, including roaming fees.
We use commercially acceptable measures to protect your information. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage method is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Our Services are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under this age. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it promptly. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
